I just re-edited my review/overview of this incredible 1975 Fender Jazz bass for www.TheBassHang.com. I wanted to incorporate some of the new aspects of editing video that I’ve learned, along with some footage of me playing the bass. I took a trip to Fender when I had the bass in my possession and we dismantled the bass. It is in fact all original except for a few things that have been changed out; strap buttons, neck pick up, a couple of pickguard screws, and “G” string bridge saddle. I also refer to Marcus Miller’s bass as a 75-76 Fender Jazz bass, Marcus’ bass is in fact a 1977 Fender Jazz bass. This bass was on loan from Rey Garguena and I thank him for trusting me with this piece of musical history.
TheBassHang.com….It’s going to be a resource for bassists and musicians…I started thinking about TheBassHang.com last night and it’s already coming together. I have the domain name, made a FaceBook fan page, and now have a Twitter account for The Bass Hang. I’m also going to provide insight into the lives of working professionals and the equipment they use. Another goal of The Bass Hang is to provide young bassists with lessons, equipment, and special tours of bass related manufacturers facilities. I’m excited about this new venture and hope to bring real world experiences to The Bass Hang!!!
